    Chrystal Beck

    Technician

Hi, I’m Chrystal Beck I started at Blair Doon in May 2016 as a veterinary assistant. I was at my last veterinary clinic from August 2005- May 2016, where I started in the boarding kennels and worked my way up. I graduated from dog grooming school in 2007, so in my “spare time” I groom dogs. My husband and I moved to Douglas and bought a home on 21 acres so that our 10 spoiled rotten house dogs ( 10 Australian Shepherds) and 6 cats could have more space. When I’m not working I enjoy competing in all kinds of dog sports; agility, obedience, rally, conformation, herding, dock diving, and a little bit of everything else. Our Aussies are health tested and overly socialized, so that we can continue a healthy lineage or versatile Razzmatazz Aussies.

In my time off I enjoy my two dogs, 3 cats, and my 13 parrots who range in size from a canary on up to a military macaw, all of whom I consider my OTHER CHILDREN. Of course I also enjoy time spent with my “human” children. My family is my greatest reward and I totally believe what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.

  • Olive

    Kennel Cat

My name is Olive.  I came to Blair Doon after being hit by a car.   The veterinarians gave me medicine for my pain, fixed my broken leg, and gave me TLC while I healed.  I still live at Blair Doon because I have nerve damage that makes it hard for me to urinate on my own, so the staff helps me with that every day.  I love it here; I have so many people to give me hugs, pats, and kisses galore.
